After reading the description of this first blog post, I have decided to write my first blog project on the second chapter titled "Abolition" out of the book "Mightier than the Sword." When viewing the possible selections for the first project the first chapter that popped out at me was abolition. Not only am I very interested in this topic but have written several reports in the past about this topic and would also like to expand my knowledge on William Lloyd Garrison. I believe this was an extremely quintessential point in time in American History and I would love to learn more about the role that Journalism and Democracy played in the Abolition of slavery.
